Neutral silicone sealants are primarily composed of silicone polymers, fillers, crosslinkers, and catalysts. Silicone polymers comprise the largest component, approximately 70%-80%, providing the primary sealing and bonding properties. Fillers such as calcium carbonate and silica contribute approximately 10%-20% to enhance the sealant's mechanical strength and reduce costs. Crosslinkers and catalysts are responsible for the sealant's curing process, with content levels of approximately 1%-5% and 0.1%-1%, respectively. The Shin-Etsu neutral silicone sealant offered in our store has excellent temperature resistance (-50°C to 250°C) and fully cures after 24 hours at room temperature. It has a hardness of 50 Shore A and a shear strength of 1.3 MPa, making it suitable for securing electronic components and providing waterproof sealing.
