Metal Bonding PU Sealant is a high-performance, one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane structural adhesive and elastic sealant engineered for demanding industrial applications involving metal and mixed-material bonding.
Unlike conventional sealants used only for weatherproofing or gap filling, this product is designed to deliver dual engineering performance: structural adhesion + long-term elastic movement capability.
It is widely used in transportation manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction engineering, HVAC systems, and OEM industrial assembly lines where durability under vibration, thermal cycling, and mechanical stress is critical.

Silicone Sealants
Flexible but not load-bearing. Weak adhesion to metals and not suitable for structural joints.
Epoxy Adhesives
Very strong but too rigid. Can crack when there is vibration or thermal movement.
PU Structural Adhesive
Combines strength and flexibility. Good adhesion to metals and performs well under movement and long-term stress.

Primerless Metal Adhesion Efficiency

Surface Preparation (Critical Factor)
Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving maximum adhesion and long-term durability. Any contamination will significantly reduce bonding performance.
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil, rust, dust, and oxidation. Even light contamination can weaken the bonding interface and lead to premature failure.
Recommended cleaning is IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) or acetone wipe to ensure a chemically clean bonding surface. Allow the surface to fully evaporate before application.
Application Process
Correct application ensures uniform bonding and prevents voids or weak points inside the joint.
Cut the nozzle according to the joint geometry to match the required bead size. Apply the adhesive using a manual or pneumatic gun, ensuring steady and continuous flow.
Fill the joint completely and avoid air voids, as trapped air can reduce structural performance and sealing efficiency.
Tooling & Working Time Control
Proper tooling ensures good surface contact and a smooth finish within the adhesive's workable time.
Tool the sealant within 30–60 minutes of skin time to achieve optimal shaping and adhesion. Delayed tooling may result in surface defects or reduced bonding quality.
Curing Environment Control
Environmental conditions directly affect curing speed and final performance.
Avoid moisture exposure during the early curing phase, as premature contact with water can disrupt the curing reaction. Maintain stable temperature and humidity for consistent curing results.
